The first international film festival on short films has been screened in the city of Addis Ababa from June 14-19, 2010.The festival was composed of different and tremendous events like; the red carpet for the opening and closing of the ceremony, the screening of “desert flower “with the presence of Waris Dirie, screening of one hundred international film and competition among the east African films, More than one hundred young directors from East Africa have attended training through workshops conducted by professional film makers from all continents, Panel discussions at the Addis Ababa University. Lezare Wins Best Short Film Youth Jury Award at the Tarifa African Film Festival
Zelalem Woldemariam, Producer/Director, is selected as winner of “Best Short Film Youth Jury Award” claiming a trophy and 2000 Euro prize.
Tarifa, Spain May 29, 2010– Lezare a short film produced and directed by Zelalem Woldemariam, has been selected as a winner of the best short film youth Jury award.
 “Lezare” was chosen from a pool of nominees by an international jury of experts. The TARIFA competition was very competitive this year, 15 films from over ten countries on the African continent were competing in the Short Film category. The competition took place from May 21-29 in Spain.
